Good city bag
Four stars because initially the small plastic locking mechanism on the strap split in half right out of the package, but customer service was good and helped me find a resolution.
The bag itself is an ideal size for urban travel. It's lightweight and unobtrusive. I squeezed a passport, glasses, phone, a small card case, keys, coin purse, small bottle of Purell, mask, mints, two thin snack bars, and airpods inside. During a trip on the metro we encountered a group of pickpockets. Knowing the strap was cut-proof gave me peace of mind until we were able to move away from the group. I also appreciated the RFID feature for added security. We took two PacSafe bags on our trip and didn't lose our belongings despite being targeted.
If I could improve the design I'd change some things: It wasn't easy to properly interconnect the custom zippers and lock them to the special Roobar bar on the front, especially when I was frequently opening and closing the bag. If you find yourself at a busy market where the next stall is ten feet away it really becomes an issue. In those environments I found myself skipping the bar (and definitely the interlocking zippers) because of the hassle. Additionally, the top of the bag is somewhat stiff, making it difficult to rummage through items. I found myself wanting a second pocket on the interior to drop bills, and one on the exterior for receipts (people still handed these out where I was). It would also be helpful if the RFID pocket was a removable…
