Well designed apart from straps
This backpack was everything I hoped it would be - lightweight, well designed and robust. It was just the right size to take a rolled up waterproof or thin jacket or cardigan, as well as my other bits and bobs. The outside pockets were just right for holding a standard bottle of water and brilliant for holding the charge pack for my phone while charging on the move. The inside pockets were useful too, including the card protection. But the main advantage is the peace of mind it gives you, when travelling on busy trains or visiting crowded places, knowing that it is almost impossible for anyone to access the bag or try to cut the straps. Another feature that I used many times was detaching one strap and securing the bag around a table or chair leg when stopping for food or drink, rather than keeping the bag clutched to my lap which I used to do. My only criticism is that the padded part of the strap didn't extend as far down as I would have liked, which left the thin, hard unpadded part digging in under my arms. Apart from that I couldn't fault it. It was expensive though, so I am hoping other family members will make use of it on their travels too.
