Looks more and more like "just a regular bag" with every annual update, from nice looking weave and "low gloss" exterior to low-keyed (blacked out), but more efficient, anti-pilfering features. It actually looks "premium," imho, compared with hiking store waist packs and even premium travel company designs. Best yet, the waist strap attaches at the top line of the bag - believe it or not, some companies attach the waist strap in the middle causing their designs to tip-forward at the top.

This year the fabric is low-gloss 100% nylon that sheds pet fur, unlike some prior "canvas finish" exterior fabrics that were pet-hair magnets.
Zipper pulls run from right to left (to close) only and there is just one zipper tab per each of the two compartments. This is what I call "unambiguous" closing vs. dual zipper pulls that open and close in both directions; I've actually opened when I meant to close on some of those bags.
Unfortunately there is only a single locking bar for the zipper pulls, not individual snap hooks as on original Pacsafe "cable-loop and snap-hooks" designs. This works for me, but only since I keep the frontmost compartment unlocked (except for sleeping on flights) for easy access to some items. There IS a design problem, however - I have to stretch-pull the main compartment zipper tab to fit onto…
