My Travel Necessity
This was easily the best purchase I made in preparation for my trip to Japan. I am not a wallet person as being a woman, it is challenging to find clothes with pockets, so usually I’d have to coordinate a wallet with a purse or bag. Instead, I get a phone case with a wallet attached, but for traveling purposes, it isn’t practical to get one that could also carry a passport, coins, etc. if one like that even exists. This wallet carried my passport, ID, credit card, rail pass, ticket stubs, cash, coins, literally everything I needed on a daily basis during my travels. It was so useful on my first trip, it became absolutely necessary to take it with me a second time when I decided to study abroad over summer. Summers in Japan are BRUTAL, and that statement comes from someone who’s been living in Texas over 20 years. I own several Pacsafe products, but on many occasions I simply did not want added bulk with bags/backpacks walking 20k steps in the most humid weather I’ve ever experienced, so this ended up being the item I took with me everywhere, everyday, every time. I could trek the country without having to sacrifice comfortability or worry I didn’t have my identification on me if something were to happen. As an added bonus, there was also no concern of being self conscious of the space I would take up on crowded trains or buses where I would usually have to clutch my bag tightly to my body to be respectful about the space around me for other commuters.
