If you want to go on a cruise, you might prefer to find one that caters to your tastes or desires. There is a cruise out there for everyone—and we do mean everyone.
Science Guys
Next year you can hop a 14-day Total Solar Eclipse Cruise trip to Indonesia aboard the Oceanic Discoverer for a rare chance to observe a total eclipse of the sun while enjoying a cruise vacation. There are plenty of other adventures and activities to keep you stimulated but the three minutes and fifteen seconds of totality is the star of the trip.
Duck Guys
All the stars are cruising these days and if your idea of celebrities is the guys and gals from the Duck Dynasty show, then the Duck Commander Cruise may be just your calling. You can sail the Bahamas onboard the Carnival Victory for four nights from October 22-26, 2015 featuring marriage workshops with Al and Lisa, preaching from Phil and a southern cooking class with Miss Kay. Fares start at $599 for an inside cabin. Not sure if you get a duck call with that.
Rock and Roll
Royal Caribbean offers their Rock Legends IV Cruisethat features performances by, among others: Peter Frampton, Gregg Allman, Grand Funk Railroad, and America. Cruising from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida from January 21-25, 2016 this cruise features over twenty big time rock bands and offers a visit to Grand Turk, Turks, and Caicos along with two days at sea aboard the independence of the Seas. Prices range from around $600 per person for an interior room to over $6,000 for the Presidential suite. This is close to a sellout already so you better get rocking if you want to climb aboard.
Dancing With and Under the Stars
With dates ranging from June 13, 2015 to January 3rd and 10th in 2016 you still can hop aboard the Dancing with the Stars: At Sea Cruiseon Holland America’s Veendam or Nieuw Amsterdam ships. These 7-night trips leave from Boston or Fort Lauderdale depending on the date, and feature stars from the popular show performing routines. Passengers can also partake in professionally led dance lessons, meet and greets, and photo ops as well. Prices start at $699 and go up from there.
Naked Cruising
The Celebrity Constellation hosts The Big Nude Boat on Feb 6, 2016 for a ten-day naked jaunt for about 2,000 naked guests departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ship will hit the island of Martinique for their Fat Tuesday celebration and continue on to visit Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas along with 4 sun-burning days at sea. Prices range from $1200 for interior rooms to $10,000 for the presidential suite. Bring lots and lots of sunscreen.
Race Out to Sea
The Motor Sports Cruise Featuring Joey Lagano, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Darrel Waltrip and many more drivers revs up December 7-11, 2015. NASCAR fans will depart Miami on the 7th and spend 2 days in the Bahamas (1 day in Nassau and 1 in Freeport) along with 1 extra day at sea. Fares start at $399 for an inside cabin and go up from there. Featured are Q&As with the drivers and shop talk with crew chiefs and others from the racing world. Music shows featuring Ricky Skaggs and Mac Powell are on board along with fan contests and plenty of race merchandise available for purchase.

Michael Ryan
Michael is a full-time musician and freelance writer residing in Morrison, Colorado. He enjoys downhill skiing, traveling and attempting to play golf. He excels in the sport of extreme napping so if you must call, make it afternoon.
