Citysafe® CX Anti-Theft Convertible Backpack

I use this backpack when travelling on day trips. It recently went with me to Amsterdam. I think its great that it can convert from a backpack to a crossbody bag. Especially as some places (some museums) won't allow backpacks in the building, but they will allow crossbody bags!

I love that you can attach the strap to a pole or chair to prevent the bag from being taken and it's great that it has an RFID pouch to help protect your cards.

The only issues I found were that the straps are quite thin, so they dug into my shoulders when fully packed, and also the Roobar slider was quite loose and easy to open. Possibly too easy if someone knew of the brand and how the Roobar works. I wasn't confident that the Roobar would prevent people from opening the bag, so I also attached a padlock onto the zips for peace of mind.

One of my favourite pacsafe items that I've brought has to be this. For my purposes, the Citysafe® CX Anti-Theft Convertible Backpack is ideal. I prefer to carry crossbody bags, but I know there are occasions when I'll need a tote or a backpack for shopping. Also useful for holding a water bottle, travel chargers, sunglasses, etc.

Within minutes, I can convert this bag from a crossbody to a backpack. I do find it difficult to fit my arms in the backpack position and would prefer if the straps were a little longer.

I recently used it on a trip to Venice and think it’s the best holiday backpack I’ve ever had. It’s big enough for a water bottle, jumper, phone, suncream etc and then if needed, it easily converts to a smaller bag for evenings - my friend thought I had two different bags! It takes my 13.3 inch MacBookAir and is well made, strong and practical, whilst looking feminine. The straps are comfortable enough for sightseeing, but I would use my backpack with padded straps if going hiking. The locks need practice, but are easy once you’ve got the hang of them. I am delighted with this bag and it gives me added confidence whilst walking in crowded places.

I really enjoyed my convertible backpack on my trip. The RFID pocket and safety features making it difficult to gain access quickly, gave me a real sense of security. I didn't worry about anyone easily getting into it while in busy markets. I haven't tried it as a purse yet as I was always packing my sunglasses, small water bottle, camera, etc. and a sweater. There was still room for small purchases without feeling like a had a large backpack. It was also sturdy enough to carry heavy groceries.

The only slight backpack downside is that the strap slips after you slip your first arm thru one side so it can be tricky to get your other arm thru without holding up the bag, then leveling out the straps when you have both arms through. Its not a deal breaker, just a new approach to putting on your backpack.

I have purchased many travel bags and have never been very happy with any of them. This Citysafe bag is the perfect size for airplane travel and as a crossbody purse when exploring a city, traveling on the metro, or walking in the countryside. It's well made, sturdy, and has plenty of room for the things that I like to have with me when traveling. I love that I can reach into the bag from the side pocket to retrieve anything that I need when the bag is folded over as a crossbody purse. There are a number of safety features on the bag which just makes it very difficult for just anyone to access - - except me! In short, I'm in love with this bag and looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it.
