A Pacsafe user since

I have different types of Pacsafe and always use it for travel and scuba diving. But after the release of the Pacsafe® EXP 12. This would be my second favourite from my 20+ collections (Top1 is Exp45).

Based from my usage since 7-8 years ago from various bags, this actually helps with the personal carry bag and fits under the seat. My Mix of Vibes 325 (though would love a camouflage colour, blue or gray of the Exp 12) was always limiting me in-flight as I had to fit my Steamdeck and other devices as that I need during long flights. It fits in the Vibes 325 but you would notice on the zipper part that it was overwhelming for that model of crossbody bag. Metrosafe X crossbody bag can be used but the flaps are not helpful in a flight.

Would recommend this bag but of course weight will always be a factor but safety-wise, Pacsafe bags are the greatest.

Lack of cooling material on back is no go

I am in an area where it’s in the 70s and the lack of cooling material on the interior/back makes a huge difference. I found myself hot and uncomfortable while on a two mile walk. I can’t imagine traveling with it loaded, unless it was Spring in the Pacific Northwest or SF.

While the bag does feature a separate padded compartment at the back to help secure your laptop, the outer fabric isn’t specifically designed with cooling materials or ventilation structures. That might explain the heat buildup during longer walks in warmer environments like the one you described.

Great 'flight pack'

I intend to mainly use this bag as a flight pack hence the title. I find it is the perfect size - small enough to comply with airline 'under-seat' size requirements yet large enough to hold my 12.9 inch iPad or even my 14 inch MacBook. It is very well made, has good security features and it is comfortable when fully loaded even without the shoulder pad, which I am not keen on as I think the velcro tabs sticking out make it look a little tatty. The shoulder pad also moves along the strap easily so is rarely in the right place. However the strap is wide and comfortable so I don't find that the pad is required.

The pockets are a good size and I can fit in everything for a flight (iPad, hardback book, power bank, phone, passport, wallet, water bottle, etc). All in all this is a great bag which would be perfect for me if: strap was fully removable, zip pulls didn't jingle quite so much and more colour ways were available (Navy Blue would have been my first choice).
