I bought the waist pack for two recent trips (France and Pakistan). It was very handy for both visits as I kept my passport, phone/cell and cards with me all the time. It also reduced my hand luggage size as one of the two airlines only allowed one item of hand luggage. I was also able to carry a bottle of water, which was very necessary in Pakistan! The locking mechanism broke even before using it
I was very pleased with the locking mechanism and felt safe on packed public transport and busy streets. It was expensive but worth it.
