Inspirational Outfits for your Next Getaway

Stressed about your outfit?
Vacations are great and relaxing once you get to your destination. But the planning? Not so much.

Trying to fit everything you may want to wear into your luggage is no easy task, but don’t let it stress you out.

Whether you’re headed to a city for the weekend or spending some time on the beach, here are some of my favourite packing tips to ensure you travel in style wherever you’re headed.
Layer Up
Layering is definitely the key to maximizing space in your suitcase. Bring a few key pieces like a tank top, a cardigan and a long sleeve shirt in neutral colours that make it easy to go from a daytime to night-time look and match everything. Down jackets compress well and are easier to pack than long coats. Another space saving trick? Wear your heavy sweaters and bulky boots on the plane. Airlines are notoriously chilly and it’ll create more room in your carry-on.
Accessorise Out
Cute accessories like scarves and statement necklaces are a great way to make a basic t-shirt pop. It’s also a great way to get away with wearing the same pieces multiple times, while still appearing like you’ve planned out a variety of stylish outfits. Jewellery doesn’t take up much space and adds some personality to your clothes. One of my travel must-haves is an infinity scarf with a hidden passport pocket. Not only is it cute as a shawl, but it also eliminates the need to carry a big purse, which can deter pickpockets.
Focus on Footwear
Sensible shoes are a must for travel, especially if you’re going somewhere with cobblestone streets. I always bring a pair of flats for daytime wear, sneakers or hiking boots for more strenuous outdoor activities, and wedges (not heels) for night. Trust me, your feet will thank you. Flip-flops are also a necessity if you are staying at a hostel or somewhere with public showers.
Less is More
The biggest travel tip I can give you is less is more. You’re the one who has to carry your bag around, so try to limit your choices to just the essentials.
Before you pack, lay all your holiday outfits out on the floor to make sure you’ll actually wear everything, like your comfiest yoga pants and your cosiest tops. Don’t waste space with new pieces you’re not sure you like yet – use the space for the outfits you know you’ll rock. Trust me, the extra room is better saved for souvenirs.
Packing options for your next getaway:
A small wheeled case like theToursafe EXP21 can be used as carry on.
The  Venturesafe GII 45L is bigger and can be used for longer trips.
